ESRC / POST Fellowships – now open

This scheme provides an opportunity for second or third year ESRC-funded postgraduate students to be seconded to the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology (POST). Students will gain first-hand experience of working in science policy as well as a wide understanding of the work of Parliament. Fellows will be supported by a three month funded extension to their studentship, with additional financial support available to cover travel and accommodation costs.

Who is eligible to apply?
Any ESRC-funded PhD student in their 2nd or 3rd year in 2015/ 2016 (or part time equivalent).
Start date
Placements can be undertaken between:
• September – December 2015
• January – March 2016
• April – June 2016.
To be agreed between the applicant, POST, the applicant's supervisor and University.

• An application form
• A two-page CV
• A summary briefing on a potential POSTnote topic.
